Using templates
Start from a professionally-designed template for your industry, preview it, and apply it to your canvas — then make it yours.

A template is a ready-made page design you can drop onto your canvas and customize. Templates are the fastest way to a great-looking starting point — pick one close to your industry, then change the words, images, and colors.
When templates appear
The template picker opens automatically when you create an empty project. You can also reopen it any time:
- from the starter screen's Start with a template option,
- via the Layouts/Blocks area's "Start with a template" button.
Browse and find one
The picker is organized to help you find a fit fast:
- Sectors — filter by industry (marketing, consulting, food & beverage, health & wellness, fitness, retail, real estate, architecture, education, creative portfolio).
- Search — type a keyword.
- Sort — Recommended, Popular, Newest, or A–Z. Recommended uses the answers from your project setup wizard to surface the best matches, marked with a badge.
Each template shows a live preview rendered with your Brand Kit colors, so you see roughly how it'll look as your site.
Apply a template
Click a template to apply it. Its sections fill your canvas — already styled with your brand colors and fonts — and the picker closes. From there it's an ordinary Webpress page: edit the text, swap the images, rearrange sections, and restyle anything.
Applying a template replaces the current canvas. If you've already built something you want to keep, save a snapshot first via version history.
Official vs community templates
The picker has a scope control:
- System / official templates are the polished, Webpress-made designs. The premium official catalog is unlocked on paid plans.
- Community templates are made by approved creators and shown with author attribution — anyone can use them.
- All shows both.
Templates vs the AI
Both get you a designed page quickly:
- a template is a hand-crafted design you customize,
- the AI assistant generates a page tailored to your description.
Try a template if you want a proven layout; try the AI if you want something built around your exact brief. You can even start from a template and then ask the AI to adjust it.
Where to go next
- Adding and editing content — make the template yours.
- Becoming a contributor — publish your own templates.
