A coupon is a discount code you can apply at checkout to save on a subscription or a coin top-up. If you've been given one — from a promotion, a partner, or support — here's how to use it.
Where to enter a coupon
There are two places a coupon field appears:
- At subscription checkout — when you subscribe to a paid plan (Subscriptions & billing).
- On the Coins page — when you buy a coin top-up (Coins & credits).
Type the code into the coupon field and click Apply.
What happens when you apply one
- Webpress checks the code and, if it's valid, shows the discount and your new total.
- If the discount makes the total free, you'll see "Free" — and there's nothing to pay.
- Continue to checkout; the discounted amount is what you'll be charged.
How discounts work
A coupon can give one of three kinds of discount:
| Type | Effect |
|---|---|
| Free | The whole first/one-off charge is covered. |
| Percentage | A percentage off (e.g. 20% off). |
| Fixed amount | A set amount off the price. |
A coupon applies to the first invoice of a subscription, or to a single coin top-up — not to ongoing renewals. Renewals bill at the normal price.
If a coupon won't apply
Coupons have rules, so you might see a message explaining why one didn't work. Common reasons:
- the code doesn't exist or was mistyped,
- it's expired, not yet active, or no longer active,
- it's for a different purchase (a subscription coupon won't work on a coin top-up, and vice-versa),
- it's reached its usage limit, or you've already used it,
- it's restricted to specific accounts and yours isn't on the list.
If you believe a code should work, double-check you've copied it exactly (codes aren't case-sensitive) and that you're using it on the right kind of purchase.
Where to go next
