Getting Started

The dashboard

A tour of your Webpress home screen — the sidebar, your projects, and where to find billing, analytics, submissions, and more.

The dashboard is your home base — the screen you land on after signing in. From here you create and open projects and reach everything else Webpress offers. This guide gives you the lay of the land.

The header

Across the top of every dashboard page you'll find:

  • the Webpress logo (click it to return to your projects),
  • your coin balance — a small coin pill showing how many coins you have, when coins are enabled. Click it to top up or view your history. See Coins & credits.
  • your account menu — your avatar in the top-right corner. It holds your subscription link, the language switcher, and Log out.

If a billing reminder applies to you (for example, an invoice is due), a banner appears just under the header.

The sidebar

The left sidebar is how you navigate. At the very top is the workspace switcher (see Workspaces). Below it, the menu is grouped:

This Workspace

These items relate to the currently selected workspace:

ItemWhat it's for
All ProjectsYour websites. This is the default page.
BillingYour plan, subscription, and invoices. See Subscriptions & billing.
CoinsYour coin balance, top-ups, and history. See Coins & credits.
SubmissionsMessages people send through your contact forms, with an unread badge. See Forms & lead capture.
AnalyticsVisitor numbers and traffic for your published sites. See Analytics.
MarketplaceBrowse plugins that add features to the editor. See The plugin marketplace.

Some items only appear when their feature is switched on. If you don't see Coins, Submissions, Analytics, or Marketplace, those features aren't enabled on your instance — that's normal.

General

Account-level links, such as General Settings, sit here. Some entries are still being built out and may be marked Coming soon.

Contributor and Admin

If you've become a creator, a Contributor group appears with My Templates and My Plugins. If you're an administrator, an Admin group appears with management tools. Most people won't see either — they show up only when they apply to you. See Becoming a contributor.

Your projects

The All Projects page shows every project in the current workspace as a card. Each card has:

  • a thumbnail preview of the site,
  • the project name,
  • when it was last edited.

Hover over a card and click Open in Editor to start editing. The card's menu (the three-dot icon) holds project actions.

To start a brand-new project, click New Project in the top-right. The full walkthrough is in Getting started.
