Accounts & signing in

Create your Webpress account, sign in, reset a forgotten password, and turn on extra security like two-factor authentication.

Everything you build in Webpress is tied to your account — your personal login. This guide covers creating an account, signing in, and keeping it secure.

Create an account

On the sign-up page you can register in a few ways. Pick whichever is easiest for you:

  • Email and password — fill in your name, email, a username, and a password.
  • Continue with Google — use your existing Google account; no new password needed.
  • Continue with GitHub — use your existing GitHub account.

Your username can be used in place of your email when you sign in later, so choose something you'll remember.

The moment your account is created, Webpress automatically sets up a Default Workspace for you — the container that holds your projects. You don't have to create anything; you're ready to build. Learn more in Workspaces.

After signing up you're taken straight to your dashboard, where you can create your first project.

On the sign-in page, enter your email or username and your password, then click sign in. If you registered with Google or GitHub, use the matching Continue with… button instead.

Tick Remember me to stay signed in on a trusted device.

Signing in with a magic link or passkey

Depending on how your Webpress is configured, you may also see:

  • Magic link — instead of typing a password, you receive a one-time sign-in link by email. Click it and you're in.
  • Passkey — sign in with your device's fingerprint, face, or PIN, with no password at all.

If you don't see these options, they aren't enabled on your account — email/password and social sign-in always work.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?
  2. Enter the email address on your account.
  3. We email you a reset link. Open it and choose a new password.

If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder and make sure you typed the same address you signed up with.

Add extra security with two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step when you sign in: after your password, you enter a short code from an authenticator app on your phone. Even if someone learns your password, they can't get in without your phone.

When 2FA is enabled on your account, signing in will prompt you to enter the one-time password from your authenticator app. Set it up with any standard authenticator (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, and so on).

Two-factor authentication and passkeys are optional security features. Whether they appear depends on your plan and how your Webpress instance is set up.

Change your language

Webpress is available in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Use the language switcher in the account menu (top-right of the dashboard) to switch at any time. Your choice is remembered for next time.

Sign out

Open the account menu in the top-right corner of the dashboard and choose Log out. You'll be returned to the sign-in page.
